Antique Linen Dolls Dress - Martha
This exquisite antique chemise has many fine details and has been sewn by an accomplished seamstress.
The square neck-line has been trimmed with lace and has been embroidered by hand, and gathered to create fullness. The dropped frilly sleeves are also gathered and trimmed with lace. At the hem, there is pleating, more embroidery and ladder work, as well as the neatest of french seams.
The garment is open at the back and fastens with a covered button at the top and a tie at the waist. The cotton has been patched to one side.
