This beautifully made dress has been sewn by an accomplished seamstress or tailor and has been cleverly designed. It has remained in one family since the 1950s. The printed cotton fabric forms the main structure of the dress, and organza has been used as a top layer.
The structured bodice has a corset feel but there is no boning. Puff sleeves and a heavily gathered waist give the garment its dreamy feel. The under fabric has been used as a trim on the outer layer and to bind the capped sleeves to tie the dress together. There is a size zip for ease.
Ideal to be worn as a special occasion dress.

Condition: Excellent condition considering the age this garment. A few orange stains to the front of the garment near the hem but these are not really noticeable when worn due to the heavy gathering.
