Decorative Milagros with Ruby Addison
Milagros, translated in Spanish as ‘miracles’, are intricate folk charms traditionally used for healing purposes and as votive offerings in Mexico and Latin America. These small metal sculptures often depict body parts such as hands, eyes and hearts to symbolise health, protection and love.
In this workshop Ruby will provide tools, materials, technical guidance and inspiring
examples. You’ll explore the embossing process and work your way to some unique designs of your own, meaningful to you.
Making milagros is an accessible and satisfying handicraft. Expect to leave with a fun new skill for turning humble materials into striking ornaments.
In the 2 hour workshop, you will have enough time and materials to create multiple Milagro designs perfect for hanging in the home or to decorate a festive tree or Mantlepiece.
No creative experience needed.
