Observational Drawing with Rob McDonald
The workshop will develop your observational drawing skills, working through a series of experimental exercises by using wide variety of drawing tools and media, building up to more complex final compositions.
It will explore mark making through building your confidence and your understanding of
what each drawing tool / media can express from linear forms, to shape, form, tone and
colour.

It will develop how you see and value the surroundings and the theatrical interior of
Workshop 29, the objects, clothes, furnishing and emphera by creating and building layered compositions.

All materials will be supplied but please bring an apron as we will be using ink, oil pastels and charcoal.
*All levels welcome, including beginners.
Rob McDonald is multi-disciplined artist/ designer and has taught for over 25 years
on a wide spectrum of courses within H.E institutions nationally.

He delivered workshops at the Royal Academy and UAL and is currently a senior Lecturer at UCA Canterbury.
